Edward Wood leads the content marketing team at Babbel, the market leading language learning app. Having commenced the Babbel magazine in 2014 as a side-project to Babbel’s video marketing activities, he has since switched from overseeing SEM, GDN and video channels to focus on the development of the magazine in particular and content marketing in general.
In six months content marketing has become a huge source of traffic for Babbel and one of the largest acquistion channels. This growth has taken place under the umbrella of the Performance Marketing department and based largely upon the same principles.
Edward graduated in Psychology from the Universty of Southampton before undertaking an MA in Political Science at the University of Bath, Humboldt University in Berlin and Carlos III in Madrid. Prior to joining Babbel in July 2012, Edward worked as a language teacher and translator in Spain and Germany and developed and marketed an elearning tool which brought users from around the world into virtual classrooms.
